You own it. Can you use it?
A lot of West Michigan property owners are paying taxes on acreage they can’t actually reach. Brush fills in old fields, saplings take over fence lines and invasive shrubs choke out trails. Brush & Blade helps you reclaim that land — whether you need a few acres opened up or a full lot cleared for construction.
Land clearing services we provide
- Residential lot clearing for new homes, additions, garages and pole barns.
- Selective clearing that removes underbrush and unwanted trees while keeping healthy hardwoods.
- Acreage reclamation for old farm fields, pasture and overgrown back lots.
- Trail and access clearing for walking paths, ATV trails, utility access and equipment lanes.
- View clearing to open sightlines to water, fields and valleys.
- Fence-line and boundary clearing so you can see — and maintain — your property lines.
Selective clearing: tell us what stays
Clearing your property doesn’t have to mean destroying everything on it. We use forestry mulching to selectively remove unwanted brush, saplings and overgrowth while working around the trees and natural features you value. The goal isn’t simply to clear land — it’s to create a property that’s cleaner, more accessible and more useful.
Clearing before you build
If you’re planning a home, barn, driveway or fence, the project starts before construction does. Overgrown vegetation blocks access and makes it hard for builders, surveyors and septic designers to evaluate the land. We open the property so you and your contractor can see what you’re working with, then prep it for what comes next. Learn more about our site preparation and grading.
The cheapest bid isn’t always the least expensive
Equipment, efficiency, site planning and the desired finish all matter. A lower initial bid can end up costing more if the work takes longer, damages areas you wanted preserved, or leaves cleanup behind. We focus on building a sensible plan, explaining it clearly, and completing the work correctly the first time.
